eBay is now legally required to collect and remit internet sales tax on behalf of our sellers, for items shipped to buyers in certain states. If you’re a tax-exempt buyer (e.g. a reseller, charitable entity, etc.), you can submit a tax exemption certificate to us and make purchases on eBay without paying tax.
